Who We Are?
IMOC was founded as a response to the social inequities and injustices that occur all too often. Our purpose is to empower, educate, and embrace our members/participants. We are currently based in the Twin Cities; we also host sessions both online and in-person for maximum engagement.
Vision/ Mission
IMOC works towards social mobility and personal development for all, with an emphasis on historically marginalized people. With our team possessing backgrounds in Social Work; Education; Economics; and Human Services, we have the unique opportunity to offer an eclectic program for holistic outcomes. IMOC recognizes the intersectionality of societal barriers and their impacts to our communities. Our Strength-Based and Trauma-Responsive approach is tailored to account for the historical and current experiences of BIPOC Communities.
Plan
Through our twelve-week program, we aim to teach life and social skills imperative for success in today’s society. With our Person-Centered Thinking, IMOC meets individuals wherever they are in life and works with them to get where they want to be. Utilizing a culturally specific crafted evidence-based program, participants will gain exposure to knowledge and resources proven to promote well-being.
